John Wittmann Owner/Tailor
John started working in the tailoring trade at the age of 21. Opening the store in our current location, he has worked in the industry for over 37 years and comes from a long line of custom tailors. His Grandfather Joseph and Great Grandfather Frank were both custom tailors in Dayton.
In 1998 John was elected President of the Custom Tailors and Designers Association, receiving the prestigious Jackson Medal for his service. He was the youngest President in the history of the 135 year old Association. He also served on the Board of Directors for 9 years. He has received nine Fashion Awards from the Association, recognizing superior achievement in design, fit and construction.
John has been called on frequently to speak to the industry on subjects ranging from Garment fit to customer service. He has taught classes for the Custom Tailors and Designers Association in Measuring, Garment Design, and Customer Service. His articles have been published in the trade publication "The Custom Tailor"
